BOSTON -- Diamondbacks starter Archie Bradley made one mistake to a hitter. His right fielder didnt help him, either, making one on a routine flyball later in the same inning.Sandy Leon had a solo shot to start Bostons three-run fifth inning and right fielder Socrates Brito misplayed the fly for an error later, helping the Red Sox to a 6-3 victory over Arizona on Saturday night.Trailing 3-1, the Red Sox charged ahead with the runs that were keyed by Brito charging for the flyball and letting it drop next to him. Leon hooked his homer around the Pesky Pole, Andrew Benintendi had an RBI double off the Green Monster after Brock Holt reached on the error and Mookie Betts grounder bounced over third baseman Jake Lamb for an RBI single.Brito just couldnt get the ball, manager Chip Hale said. It looked like he was there in time.Bradley (4-8) allowed six runs -- four earned -- in 5 1/3 innings. The errors not an issue. Its still our job to go get guys out, Bradley said. They did a good job. Theyre a good offense. Theres a reason theyre one of the best offenses in the big leagues -- and when you make mistakes they make you pay for it.Michael Bourn had two singles and an RBI for the Diamondbacks. They had won four of five.Holt hit a two-run homer, rookie Benintendi and Dustin Pedroia each had two hits and drove in a run for Boston, which won its second straight after losing four of five.Robbie Ross Jr. (2-2) worked an inning of relief for the win after starter Clay Buchholz gave up three runs over 4 1/3 innings in a spot start. Craig Kimbrel worked the ninth for his 19th save after former Arizona closer Brad Ziegler entered and escaped a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the eighth.Demoted to the bullpen twice this season, Buchholz made his first start since early July on the eve of his 32nd birthday because knuckleballer Steven Wright was scratched on Thursday after jamming his pitching shoulder diving back into second during an interleague game.Holt homered over Bostons bullpen to make it 6-3 and chased Bradley in the sixth.Arizona had moved ahead by scoring twice in the fourth and once in the fifth.Buchholz held the Diamondbacks hitless until Bourns one-out single in the fourth. Bourn later scored on a groundout and Rickie Weeks Jr. added an RBI single, making it 2-1. Pepper retired from NBC Sports in December after eight years because she was weary of the travel and wanted to devote her time to getting more juniors involved in golf. She joined the PGA of America as one of its board members. "Its the dream fit," Pepper told The Associated Press. "I love what I do, and now I can do enough of it and still have a life. Its just the major championships, and next year Ill work eight events. Its fabulous." Pepper will start work next month at Merion for the U.S. Open, and she has already been to the golf course. ESPN televises the weekday rounds of the U.S. Open, the U.S. Womens Open and the U.S. Senior Open. ESPN has full coverage of the British Open, Senior British Open and Womens British Open. She already had planned to be at the Womens British Open because its the final qualifying event for the Solheim Cup. Pepper is an assistant captain. Next year, she will be part of the ESPNs weekday coverage of the Masters and Friday coverage of the Ryder Cup. Pepper, a 17-time winner on the LPGA with two majors, will work on the course and in the booth during live play for ESPN. She also will be an analyst during the networks golf coverage on SportsCenter and write occasionally for the website. She was a contributing columnist for Sports Illustrated when she worked for NBC. "t;Were very pleased to have the opportunity for Dottie to join our team," said Mike McQuade, vice-president of production for ESPN.dddddddddddd "Her knowledge, experience and professionalism will bring another layer of strength to our golf coverage." Pepper said there was mutual interest when ESPN called, but it came with a caveat. She wanted to make sure that joining ESPN would not affect Judy Rankin, the longtime ABC Sports and ESPN golf analyst whom Pepper considers a close friend and mentor. It was Rankin who in 1999 suggested that Pepper be hired to work the U.S. Womens Amateur. "I wanted to make it very clear to them that I was in no way wanting to displace Judy Rankin, who has been incredibly important to me as a player and a mentor," Pepper said. "They said there was no question wed be working together. Shes a legend." Pepper said she missed working television during the Match Play Championship, the Florida Swing and The Players Championship, along with the relationships she formed at NBC Sports. "Im so competitive," she said. "That was my release." She was headed to Long Island on Wednesday to play National Golf Links and to walk the course at Sebonack, which will host the U.S. Womens Open the last week in June. Pepper said she will be arriving later than usual for that one because she has a PGA board meeting in Oregon that week. "Im really excited to get back," she said. ' ' '
